Summer Fun, Crafting and D.C. for the 4th of July

July 07, 2011 3 Comments

This past week my hubbie and I had the opportunity to visit our great Capitol for the 4th of July. Before that, he had a speaking engagement with the awesome youth group of ODPC in Pennsylvania and I was tasked with craft time!

Hard task you might say. I've had my share of popsicle stick houses, lanyard crosses and sand art. I had to kick this up a notch and represent the left-coast hipsters with great pride. I settled on two fun crafts. Duct-tape wallets and Turk's Head knot rope bracelets. Each of these were a great hit! *take note of the mini-ninja on the far left.

Useful, fashionable crafts are the best!! A modern step up from landyard bracelets/keychains.
