How to Wrap the Perfect Gift

How to Wrap the Perfect Gift

June 13, 2018

They say the best gift isn’t determined by its price, but the heart that’s behind it. Gifting is one of my top love languages. I enjoy receiving gifts but it’s giving them that I really love...so much so that I actually stock up on gifts! Something about being able to bring joy into someone’s life while showing them that you genuinely care, makes it so exciting for me.  My favorite types of gifts are the “just because” gifts because these are the ones that the people least expect. And the great thing about these “just because” gifts is that it doesn’t need to cost a lot of money. It could be something as small as a nice pen you saw at the store for your journal writing friend, or that bar of chocolate for that friend with a sweet tooth.

Once I find the perfect gift, I take the time to wrap it nicely.  Over the years, I’ve discovered that the wrapping doesn’t have to be super fancy.  You can have a simple wrapping and still give it an elegant look by adding just a few things.

So here is how I wrap my gifts:

Required materials: Box, twine, gift tag, scissors

Instructions:

  1. Find a box to put the gift in.  I prefer brown because I like the simplicity of it but it can be any box you can find.  If you can’t find a box, you can also use kraft paper to wrap the gift.
  2. Use twine to wrap around the box.  Don’t tie the ribbon just yet.
  3. Use a gift tag to write the name of the recipient and maybe even a small note.  HERE are some free elegant gift tags you can download and use.

4Insert twine through the gift tag and tie the ribbon.

5. FINISHED!

Just remember that it’s the thought behind the gift that counts!

Happy gifting!
